Starting April 25, some of the world’s wittiest comedians are lined-up to keep viewers in stitches on Monday nights, as M-Net presents the HBO comedy festival.

The HBO comedy festival has become one of America’s top stand-up comedy events. Launched in 1995, the HBO has made stars of young comedians, transforming them into legends of stand-up comedy. Every year these stars, as well as fresh, original faces on the scene keep theatre audiences entertained with more than 70 shows over four days.

The HBO comedy festival on M-Net includes skits from funny people such as Ellen DeGeneres, Bill Maher, Chris Rock, Tracey Ullman and Dennis Miller.

The series kicks off on April 25 at 22h55 with a show called Ellen Degeneres: The Beginning, in which Ellen DeGeneres takes an off-kilter look at men, women and modern society.
