The Durban International Film Festival hosted by the Centre for Creative Arts at the University of KwaZulu-Natal takes place from June 15 to 26. This year, it celebrates its 26th anniversary with over 200 screenings of top films from around the world, including special reflections on South Africa and Africa.

Most of the films are premiere showings in this South Africa. The festival also offers seminars and workshops featuring local and international filmmakers. The programme includes screenings in township areas where cinemas are non-existent.
