On January 6 at 16h00, M-Net will present the movie Promised Land starring Nick Boraine, Ian Roberts and Yvonne van den Berg. The film was directed in 2003 by Jason Xenopoulos.

The story deals with George who returns to South Africa after many years to scatter his mother's ashes on the family farm. A group of Afrikaners who have been the victims of farm attacks welcome him with open arms. As they get talking, George realises that his hosts are anti everyone who isn't a fundamentalist Bible-believing white Afrikaner, and it starts raising questions in his own mind about his identity and where he fits in. An unsettling film which carries an emotional punch.
