The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) will host a South African Pavilion in the International Village at the Cannes Film Festival.

Filmmakers who will be in Cannes for the festival are asked to register their details under the South African Pavilion through the NFVF office. Any filmmaker wishing to register for the Cannes Film Festival under the NFVF umbrella, should contact the NFVF office as soon as possible for registration forms.

Completed registration forms need to be returned to the NFVF office by March 24.

Industry stakeholders are invited to submit marketing material such as VHS tapes, posters, catalogues etc. to be displayed on the South African Pavilion at Cannes. The deadline for submitting marketing material is April 30.

This year at Cannes, the pavilion will have a screening area, business area with internet and fax facilities and a business meeting area. Those wishing to host an event at the South African Pavilion, should also contact the NFVF to make necessary bookings.

The NFVF wants to gather as much information as possible on South African film projects to be presented at Cannes for inclusion on media releases and products guides. Another aim is to provide any additional support for the projects by way of facilitation.
