The Durban International Film Festival runs from June 14 to 27.

The festival celebrates its 25th anniversary with over 200 screenings honouring the best in international, national and continental cinema, including special reflections on 10 years of democracy in South Africa.

Most of the films are premiere showings in South Africa. The festival also offers filmmaker workshops; industry seminars; discussion forums; and outreach activities that include screenings in township areas where cinemas are non-existent.
