Resfest, the international traveling digital film festival presented by Cape Town Major Events and Interactive Africa, offers highly creative, edgy and inspirational digital films from Japan, NYC, Berlin and South Africa.

Among the South African films featured is We Choose Time. This was created as an exploration of time, using the concept of fractal mathematics and chaos theory as inspiration. "Everything in this piece was created using mathematical information" say the creators at XMAS, an art collective based in Johannesburg.

Another production, Neill Blomkamp's Tetra Vaal, was shot in Johannesburg this year. The Emmy nominee's creation is a commercial/corporate video conveying the idea of using robotics in everyday life in the near future.

Resfest runs from November 21 to 27 at Gateway Cinema Nouveau.

Tickets R20 at the door or R180 for a Resfest Pass for all films. Book through Computicket online at www.computicket.com For further information visit www.resfest.com
