Animators are reminded that this year will see the second Animation Festival at Sithengi 2003. The organisers promise an exciting programme as Sithengi is always a great platform to showcase African animation.

The deadline for all submissions is October 30, 2003. Entry forms can be downloaded off the Sithengi website, along with the rules and regulations, addresses to send tapes etc.

“In addition, the Animation Festival at Sithengi this year needs a new name,” says Sithengi’s Emma Kaye. “We feel that the animation industry should choose a name for its own Festival.”

Internationally renowned guests Silvia Bazzoli, Firdaus J. Kharas and Gordon Coulthart will be guests at the festival.

Suggestions for a name for the festival should be sent to Emma Kaye on 082 809 6663 or email: emma@triggerfish.co.za
