Respected top theatre technician Rosemary Schumann has found an innovative way to generate funds to send her daughter, Gemma to Hong Kong where she has been selected to represent Durban, South Africa, at an international Maths competition. On July 10, Gemma and the other team members (four in total) will hopefully be winging their way to the Far East to compete against 50 other cities from around the world.

An amount of R20,000 needs to be raised to pay for the trip, so Rosemary offers an open invitation for anyone interested to view a great, ‘behind the scenes’, giant music video! (Running time 70 mins) Those who would like to support the project but who are unable to attend the screening, are invited to buy a ‘virtual’ ticket.

To quote Illa Thompson: “Romi is always the first person to offer assistance to all of us - now is the opportunity to be able to show how much we appreciate all she does for us always - and enjoy a fun night while about it!”

The music video, can be see on May 16 at 18h30 for 19h00 at Imax, Gateway, and features Sting, Santana, Macy Grey, Moby, Bb King, and More. Tickets R60 – and dress code is “party pants”!
