To be screened on M-Net on August 29 at 20h00, Miami Vice is a gritty, grainy crime noir about two Miami vice cops who go undercover to infiltrate a syndicate with links to drugs and guns, and to find a suspected mole in their midst.

Sonny Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs, two Miami vice cops who will give their lives for one another, go undercover to infiltrate a syndicate with links to drugs and guns, and to find a suspected mole in their midst. Their job is complicated when Sonny falls for Isabella, the gorgeous associate of South American gangster Montoya, making things hot and heavy both in and out of the bedroom. Plenty of speedboats, guns and drug-dealing Columbians, which should appeal to fans of action flicks or any of its three stars: bad boy Colin Farrell, Oscar-winner Jamie Foxx or sultry Chinese superstar Gong Li Luis Tosar (Memoirs of a Geisha).

Stylish, unpredictable and dynamic the movie has been criticised as being too dark with none of the joy and humour of the original ‘80s TV show.
