NB: as of 23 September 2008, all new artSMart articles are being published on the site news.artsmart.co.za. Ever wondered how the same songs keep cropping up year after year? What was a hit in the 50s is a hit once again in the new millennium. Old standards by such singing greats as Dean Martin, Tony Bennet, Nat King Cole, and even Frank Sinatra himself, are now given a new spark, a new style and a new lease on life by pop stars such as Robbie Williams, Michael Buble and Josh Groban. With this in mind, The Gee Jays - Gary McKenzie, John Didlick and Grant Bell - are back at the Heritage Theatre with a brand new show entitled Come Fly with Me. This time they will be including Durban’s latest “heart throb with the golden voice” Jonothan Didlick, no less a personage that John’s son! Some of the songs featured are That’s Life, Fly Me To the Moon, A Foggy Day, Beyond the Sea, Moondance, The Summer Wind and, of course, Come Fly With Me. The programme will also include a few Michael Bublè and Robbie Williams originals. The show runs from May 20 to June 29. Tickets R185 from Wednesday to Saturdays for a delicious two-course meal and show (R160 Tuesday nights and Sunday lunch). Bookings on 031 765 4197 or online at www.heritagetheatre.co.za
