Duncan Royce, currently appearing in the smash hit Thriller at the Langoustine Theatre by the Sea, has reworked his equally successful Mercury Rising for a run at the Johannesburg Civic Theatre. Opening on February 4, Mercury Rising had a highly successful run at the the Langoustine and won last year’s FNB Vita Award for a musical revue.

Duncan has revamped the show from its original supper theatre format to suit the Civic. Musical direction is by Roelof Colyn with musical arrangements by Phillip Maier and musical staging by Catherine Royce. Joining Duncan on stage will be Tia Architto and Angela Kilian

Mercury Rising is produced by Venture Capital, the theatrical production arm of the Johannesburg-based Industrial Theatre Company whose recent productions include Birdy, The Rocky Horror Show, Momma Golda and Scribble.
