The Pietermaritzburg-based Music Revival society is headed by well-known pianist Christopher Duigan who will perform a classical recital at Wedgwood in Hilton on August 20 at 15h00.

The programme includes works by Liszt, Debussy and Brahms and a highlight is bound to be Liszt's ultimate virtuoso offering, Reminiscences de Don Juan. In this major work Liszt arranges and embellishes melodies from Mozart's operatic masterpiece, Don Giovanni.

Also performed will be a series of delicate and subtly shaded Preludes by Debussy and the very mellow Variations in D by Brahms. Tickets at R40 include coffee and biscuits.
