The Centre for Jazz & Popular Music at the University of KwaZulu Natal will feature Leon & the Boys on August 27 in its regular Trios Plus programme.

Leon & The Boys feature Leon Scharnick (sax), Siphesihle Mngwengwe (piano), Ildo Nandaja (bass), Paki Peloeole (drums) and special guest King Zorro (poet) in a programme of jazz standards, South African jazz and original compositions. The band's repertoire will include Night in Tunisia, Green Dolphin Street and Hugh Masekela's Excuse Me Baby.

The evening runs from 17h30 to 19h00 and the Jazz Centre is situated at L2 Shepstone (Howard College Campus). Admission R20 (R10 students) and a cash bar is available. More information on 031 260 3385.
