A meeting for all Durban musicians and venue owners will be held at the Thunder Road Diner in Florida Road to discuss Durban’s rich musical heritage which is in the process of disappearing!

“We (musicians and venue owners) need to urgently find solutions and a common vision to move forward and enable us to continue and to find work in venues for all the great musical disciplines in our City,” explains organiser Paul Dinsdale. “With 2010 and all its inherent benefits looming large on our horizons - it's imperative that we get our house in order!

In order to take this forward, all interested parties are invited to attend this public meeting. A concise Agenda with stakeholders from across the musical and cultural spectrum as well as the City will guide this process. The present situation will be summarised and the Aims & Objectives to find a way forward will be discussed.

“We require a cohesive show of strength and unity to make this work for everyone,” adds Paul.
