South African stalwart Nibs van der Spuy and young Durban prodigy Guy Buttery will appear at the KZNSA Gallery on August 20.

The two musicians have been collaborating together for the last five years around the country as well as in Swaziland and Mozambique. Both Nibs and Guy have released highly acclaimed albums as solo artists, many of which were nominated at the South African Music Awards, and both are constantly involved in various other projects collaborating with many of South Africa's great artists.

Since then Nibs and Guy have travelled the country, performing far and wide and have also released new solo albums that they have been touring and promoting together as a duo whilst still showcasing their own respective albums. Having played and recorded on each other's albums, these two South African gems are bound by brotherhood, diversity and song.

With very few music venues in Durban suitable for acoustic music, Guy and Nibs have often had to create spaces for them to perform their art. This month the KZNSA Gallery has agreed to lay that platform for the musicians due to their many successful appearances there in the past. Snacks and a full bar will be available. If the weather is suitable the show will be held outdoors on the lawn where then people are advised to dress warm and bring blankets.
