Whichever night you choose to pop into jus’ jazzin’, the highly popular jazz venue on Durban’s South Beach, you’ll find a different sound. Wednesdays feature smooth sounds on “the brighter side of life” which is a collaboration between P4 Radio and J&B. Thursday is funk night from 21h00 while Fish Eagle Friday is devoted to the sounds of live afro-jazz and afro-fusion. The programme ahead includes Melvin Peters Quartet (December 3), Bushy Dubazana (December 10) and Too Damn Funky (December 17) who will also appear with Ba’Agisane (December 24).

Saturday nights belong to Martell’s Classique Jazz Season which runs until the end of December. The programme includes Swing Theory (December 4), Bushy Dubazana (December 11) and Too Damn Funky (December 18). Sundays offer cool, laid-back jazz to wind down after the weekend with Judy Victor appearing on December 5 to be followed by Anita Zucker and the Simon Kerdachi Trio on December 12.
