Very Very Big Productions in association with P4 Radio proudly announce the extension of their popular production of the Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice smash hit musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The show, currently running at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre by arrangement with The Really Useful Group Ltd., has now been extended to January 11.

With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, Joseph features a live band and a star-studded cast of over 50 performers. The well-loved classic family musical takes audiences o a lively and colourful journey through Ancient Egypt.

The story line follows the rags-o-riches story of Joseph, his eleven brothers and a coat of many colours. Well-known numbers include Close Every Door to Me, Go Go Go Joseph and Any Dream Will Do.

Directed and designed by Greg King with choreography by David Gouldie, musical direction by Evan Roberts and lighting design by Michael Broderick – all recently honoured at the 2002/3 Durban Theatre Awards, the show stars Karen Van Pletsen and Derrick Anderson. Shanthan plays Pharaoh with Garth Anderson as Potiphar and Jacob. The cast is completed by members of the Fantastic Flying Fish Dance Company and the Maris Stella School Choir.
