Due to a double booking by the Playhouse Company of the Playhouse Opera, the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra has had to change its venue for the second concert of its Summer Season World Symphony Series this Wednesday (February 13) at 19h30.

It is anticipated the Orchestra will move to the Durban City Hall for this week's concert to enable the touring production The Spirit of the Dance to move into the Opera, a logistic priority due to the enormous size the production's stage rig.

The featured international soloist in the KZNPO's forthcoming Wednesday concert is the noted young clarinettist Dmitri Ashkenazy who will perform Mozart's Clarinet Concerto. With visiting Israeli conductor Omri Hadari on the podium, the programme also includes Mozart's Symphony no 31 Paris and Mendelssohn's Symphony No 3 Scottish.
