The Centre for Jazz and Popular Music at the University of KwaZulu-Natal hosts regular Wednesday Trios Plus evenings during semesters.

The September program is as follows:

September 3: Steve Newman (South African guitar whizz)

September 10: “Abagquzeli” Maskanda roots featuring Koko Gasela (tenor sax); Bheki Khalala & Emanel Shangase (guitar); Wiseman Chiya (bass); Euguene Shinga (drums), and Skho Miya, Zamile Mgoma and Philile Sbiya (vocals).

September 17: Swedish/South African Connection featuring Sanna Sikborn Erixon (guitar); Anna Eklund (bass); Susanna Hogman & Lina Melander (vocals) from Sweden with UKZN students.

There will be no jazz evening on September 24 as the university will be on vacations.
