The Art Antiques & Collectables Auction will take place at the organisation’s new venue at Green Acres Centre, in Howick.

The sale includes items from Estate Late Joyce Dowse and others - South African original by Tinus De Jongh, Gabriel De Jongh, Adriaan Boshoff, Otto Klar, Maurice Van Essche, Christiaan Nice; Gregoire Boonzaier, George Msimang, Frans Claerhout, Catty, and more:

Superb USA $10 gold coin, Mexican 50 Pesos gold coin, South African and English gold sovereigns and gold Kruger Pond; Royal Doulton figures and jugs include a very rare "Old King Cole" musical jug; First edition Africana books; 18thC sampler; A scare regimental drum from the Royal Irish 2nd Battalion, manufactured by Hawkes & Son; Blue Wedgwood, Doulton and Shelley tea sets; Art Deco ceramics including rare Crown Devon and Carlton Ware; an Art Deco Lalique blotter, and Jock Leyden watercolour cartoons.

A huge selection of jewellery includes a Victorian charm bracelet with 46 charms, weighing 213gms; lots of diamond, emerald, amethyst and opal earrings and rings, including a 0.73cwt marquis cut diamond and 0.4cwt solitaire ring; two grandfather clocks (one Art Deco the other Georgian) and mantle clocks; Rare Zulu and other tribal artefacts; Good Victorian and later cottage furniture include extending dining tables, sets of chairs, mirror backed sideboards, carved chests and bureaus; a collection of seven hallmarked silver sugar castors (one of which is Georgian); a 111 piece silver plated Christofle flatware setting for 10 plus extras; sauce boats, creamers, boxes and trinkets.

The auction takes place in the new Green Acres Centre on July 23 from 10h00. From the N3 near Midmar Dam, take the Tweedie / Howick North exit; continue for 1.5km towards Howick and the venue is on the right.
