If I may, a few words on the passing of Elizabeth Sneddon. She was my best teacher and mentor. I am 67, retired after 46 years of teaching subjects in which she was my teacher, and I continue to draw strength from the role model she was.

She was my adviser for the PhD, the first granted in Speech and Drama in South Africa. In apartheid times of deepest despair for our beloved country, she taught us to believe in the inevitable different better future for South Africa.
