NB: as of 23 September 2008, all new artSMart articles are being published on the site news.artsmart.co.za. The M-Net Series channel 110 on DStv presents Studio 53 on Saturdays at 18h00. Studio 53 brings the glamorous and beauty of Africa closer to home. It’s the type of show that makes viewers feel like they are closer to the action when they’re really relaxing at home. Packed with exotic and fabulous content, the reporters and presenters offer the best in travel, fashion, interesting places and faces from all over Africa. The show presents the true Africa – showcasing a proud continent. Over the years, Studio 53 has covered events in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, St. Helena, the Seychelles, Morocco, Zambia, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Angola. The lovely Rosie Motene (South Africa) and charming Geaetano Kagwa (Uganda) are Studio 53’s anchor presenters, but they also venture from the studio from time to time to explore and present in other countries.
