The deadline for entries for the 11th Annual Business Day-BASA Awards has been extended to March 14, 2008.

Focusing on support for the arts and cultural events, projects or organisations, these annual awards recognise creative business thinking and identify partnerships that go beyond creative thinking and identify partnerships that go beyond simple chequebook sponsorship and make a difference to both sponsor and recipient.

All business operating within South Africa, large or small, who have supported the arts genre, whether in cash or in kind during the period January 1 and December 31, 2007, are invited to enter the Business Day-BASA Awards 2007. Alternatively, the recipient arts organisation may nominate their sponsor for an award.

Barloworld ARTWORKS Mentoring programme which matches business skills and expertise needed to an arts organisation, calls for nominations for The Barloworld Mentor of the Year. Arts organisations may nominate individuals from the corporate sector with whom they have worked within the past year and whose ongoing inputs and advice have enhanced the organization’s skills base, capacity and competency.
