The September exhibition at the Midlands Arts & Crafts Society (Macs) in Pietermaritzburg is Glimpses from my Life, by Jean Elworthy. This is Elworthy’s first solo exhibition, but her work is represented in numerous private collections here and abroad. She paints her surroundings, interiors and landscapes. She paints what she loves, and does not feel the need for social or political commentary.

The exhibition runs at MACS in Alexandra Road in Pietermaritzburg until September 28. Gallery hours are 08h00 to 16h00 on weekdays (08h00 to 14h00 on Saturdays and 09h00 to 14h00 on Sundays)
